On 27 June 2022 IKEA Australia launches the Ride2Work car sharing app to support our co-workers in travelling between home and work in a safe, efficient and sustainable way.
As part of our global People and Planet Positive goals, IKEA is working to reduce emissions from co-worker and customer travel by 50%. The Ride2Work app is one way IKEA Australia is working towards this goal by supporting you with more sustainable mobility options that reduce your carbon footprint when travelling to work in a safe, affordable and enjoyable way!
The Ride2Work app is an easy-to-use carpooling app that connects IKEA co-workers from the same unit/destination to share a drive into/from work in a safe way that complies with current COVID-19 health and safety regulations.
Your participation and feedback are greatly valued to successfully test the Ride2Work app. Results will be shared at a country and global level to assess our needs for this program and potential roll-out at all IKEA countries.
Safety is our first priority, and careful considerations and mitigations have been given to launch this program. On this page you’ll find more information on the Ride2Work program, requirements to use this carpooling app, FAQs and Health & Safety Operating Procedures.
It is an expectation of all carpooling co-workers, rider and driver, to maintain behaviours in line with the Ingka Code of Conduct.
