Overview
Like many NHS Trusts, Portsmouth Hospital University NHS Trust is facing pressure on limited (and expensive) parking spaces for staff. This, coupled with patchy public transportation for staff traveling during ‘anti-social’ hours, means they were looking for more convenient, shared transport solutions for staff.
Solution
As part of the My Journey Car Share project in Hampshire, Portsmouth Hospital University NHS Trust has signed up to use the Liftango car share platform. Liftango’s carpool platform dynamically matches drivers and riders in a trusted and exclusive network to encourage climate positive commuting among staff at Portsmouth Hospital University NHS Trust. This is reducing the pressure on car parking and sharing the expense for staff. In addition the trust is now able to easily measure and report on scope 3 emissions.
